Holy Cats! We just got back from seeing the Speed Racer movie, and I am blown away! It was awesome.Now, to be fair, I expected to hate it. All I've heard is how *bad* it is, so the bar was set pretty low. But now, having seen it, I can tell you that it has got to be one of the most visually striking movies I've ever seen. I mean, it is STUNNING. I will be thinking for days just about how it looked. It was really a treat.
And let's face it... I'm gonna like anything with a chimp in it. Sad, but true.

I just SR today, and must agree that it is a very fun, entertaining movie through and through! In fact, I don't understand any of the criticism I've heard about it! I loved the cartoon growing up, and found that the movie captured its essence quite well. Citizen Kane it is not, tbs, but it didn't need to be, did it?
