I feel bad I'm doing another wine-related post, since I just did one.
Oh well!
This evening's fine repast consisted of one delectable Big Mac, one large order of The Best Fries Made By Man, and a lovely glass of white wine. "WHICH white wine, Katerz?!" Well, since you asked, this is a little something I picked up (yes, virtually STOLE) at World Market today. It was like $5 and change. Columbia Crest Two Vines "Vineyard 10" White Wine -- a VERY nice blend of Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, and Semillon grapes. This wine proved a delightful accompaniment to the burger, with its melty cheese, crunchy pickle, and sesame-seed bun.
I highly recommend this meal to all you stressed-out moms out there... or anyone who just likes yummy stuff. ;-)

Wine for a lazy, warm Sunday afternoon
I went out to BevMo a little bit ago, feeling like I wanted a nice crisp white to sip in the backyard. It was so pretty outside today, and Mr. Siegel was making grilled burgers! So off I went. I found one of my favorite sauvignon blancs from long ago -- Raymond Reserve. This is a wonderful Napa sauvie, crisp and clean, with lots of minerally, grassy flavors. It was as nice as I remembered. I heartily recommend it!

The Happiest Place on Earth
For The Boy's b-day, we took him to Disneyland! We hadn't been there in a few years. It was a beautiful, if hot, day, and we had TONS of fun! The Boy even discovered a newfound love of rollercoasters -- he went on Thunder Mountain TWICE (Mom could only stand it ONCE), and the Toon Town coaster once.
We had a really great day.
More pix will follow later after Mr. Siegel offloads 'em from the Badass Gnarly Camera; these were taken with my fone-cam.

The Boy's pre-Birfday Celebrayshonz!
We're celebrating The Boy's b-day a day early, since we'll be at Disneyland all day tomorrow. (Like THAT's not a celebration?! OY!) Anyhoo, here are some shots of the festivities/gifts, and the cake.
The cake turned out to be problematic, as it had "yucky frosting" and was marbled inside (we thought it was chocolate). Again, I say, OY! As I type, Dad (a.k.a. "Dad of the Year") is making homemade frosting with which to decorate a replacement cake he found at Vons. ::shakes head in utter amazement::
Still, we had a fun day. I hope tomorrow goes well... (Just in case, please send good juju...)

International Visitors
One of the most fun things to me about having a blog is entertaining international visitors. I have regular readers in Canada, Argentina, Germany & Great Britain, but I was recently visited by new peeps from Ireland (w00t! Erin go Braugh!), Switzerland, and South Korea!
Welcome, World! So, so awesome...

Board of Directors
It is such a complete honor to me, to serve on this board of directors, I cannot even tell you.
I cannot possibly do justice to this amazing organization.
But I sure as hell will TRY.
Thanks, Matt, for your faith in me.

Spring break vay-cay
We've just returned from an absolutely *lovely* spring-break vacation in northern California. We did LOTS of awesome stuff...
We visited the Jelly Belly factory!
Celebrated Pesach with our dear friends!
Visited the Capitol in Sacramento!
And I might've visited a Starbucks or 2 along the way...
All in all, a lovely trip.
Now I can't wait to start planning our next getaway!!!
Oh, and if you'd like to see MORE trip photos, please visit my Flickr photostream!

Hongo Killer
Imagine my delight, when strolling the aisles of my favorite Target store, I came upon these Hongo Killer products. I had just been saying to myself, "Self, I certainly wish I had me some Hongo Killer." And there it was! On an end-cap, no less! For mere pennies over $7.
Just one of the many reasons I love my Target. You can be thrifty, and entertained at the same time.

5th Grade Open House
Tonight was our last Open House at Ev's school! Next year, it's off to Middle School. ::sniff!::
As usual, it was great seeing everything they're working on in class... And, as usual, Ev's teacher could not say enough wonderful things about him. We feel so fortunate that he's been able to attend this great school for the past six years, and particularly lucky that he got such a fantastic teacher this year!
Our boy makes us so proud, every day. Thanks, Ev! And thank YOU, Ms. Salas -- BEST. TEACHER. EVAR.
