Thursday night repast...

I feel bad I'm doing another wine-related post, since I just did one.

Oh well!

This evening's fine repast consisted of one delectable Big Mac, one large order of The Best Fries Made By Man, and a lovely glass of white wine. "WHICH white wine, Katerz?!" Well, since you asked, this is a little something I picked up (yes, virtually STOLE) at World Market today. It was like $5 and change. Columbia Crest Two Vines "Vineyard 10" White Wine -- a VERY nice blend of Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, and Semillon grapes. This wine proved a delightful accompaniment to the burger, with its melty cheese, crunchy pickle, and sesame-seed bun.

I highly recommend this meal to all you stressed-out moms out there... or anyone who just likes yummy stuff. ;-)

Rock-n-Roll McDonald's

In the heart of Chicago's River North district is this super-Vegasy McDonald's known as "Rock-n-Roll McDonald's". It has 2 stories; posh seating; flat-screen TVs; an ice cream/coffee bar; and little seating areas which salute a particular decade. I've included a photo of the "'70s Room".

Pretty. Freakin'. Awesome.

I Kid You Not.

For dinner tonight, People, I had:

1 McDonald's Filet O'Fish sandwich

Large Fries

2 glasses Alto Moncayo Garnacha

Now, that may not seem so strange at first glance. Red wine with fish? Not everyone's first choice, but not unheard of, either.

But... a $50 BOTTLE OF 93-pt. GRENACHE... with McDONALDS?!?!?! That, my friends... THAT is gutsy, I don't mind telling you.

I stand before you, the proud coordinator of this meal.
