I am SOOOO excited!!! Even tho I'm a) mad at the Cubs for dumping Mark DeRosa (DUMBEST. MOVE. EVAR.) and b) mad at the Dodgers for continuing to pursue that asshat Manny Ramirez, thus encouraging him to behave like an egomaniac.
Today, the Cubs play the Dodgers at HoHoKam Park.
This right here is a pic of the new Arizona spring-training digs for the Dodgers. It's called Camelback Ranch (are there camels in AZ?) and is also the home to the stupid White Sox. ::grin:: Looks pretty rad and I'd like to check it out sometime!

Valentine's Day Lunch: Clifton's Cafeteria!
I decided that for Valentine's Day, I wanted to a) go to the jewelry mart in downtown LA and select some bling for myself; and b) eat at Clifton's Cafeteria. Clifton's is one of those truly rad old places in LA that you need to see if you never have; it's bizarre and fabulous and the walls ooze history.
Ev did not want to eat there, as you can see in this first photo. He did end up having some fried chicken, tho, and I think he was ultimately glad he got to check the place out. Besides, there was a legless guy sitting outside on his torso nub! That's not somethin' ya see every day. Thankfully.

Looking at tattoo designs...
I'm looking at tattoo designs again...
I want one on my right shoulder, which I would then somehow connect to the butterfly on my upper right arm... I figure if I go with something like this, I could have Julie then do a vine of flowers, or a sprinkling of stars, that would go up and over my shoulder, then connect with the b-fly...
Anyway, at this point I'm just chewin' it over. I do like this art, tho...

Coraline
THIS. MOVIE. IS. RAD.
I wish I could be more specific than that, but that's all I've got for ya at this juncture.
Halfway thru, I thought, "This is the most amazing movie I've seen in a loooong time." And if you are remotely interested in the technicalities of how it was made... well, that just makes it MORE amazing.
Really well-done. I hope y'all see it. Whether or not you have young'uns.

Again, I wish to state unequivocally, we do not let The Boy watch South Park.

Widget for '$7 on the 7th' Campaign
The Foundation I work with is conducting its first major fundraiser!
By donating $7.00 to The Liz Logelin Foundation on the 7th of every month (or ANY month), you're helping provide financial assistance to families as they deal with the loss of their loved ones.
In light of the country’s current economic crisis, $7 on the 7th is an easy, affordable way to impact the families of widows and widowers in a positive way.
If you are a blogger yourself, perhaps you'd like to put this awesome widget on YOUR page to spread the word! Either copy and paste the code, below right, and add it to your page, or, if you use Blogger as I do, you can just hit that handy "Add to Blogger" button!
Thanks much.

Mr. Siegel's B-day Dinner
Guess where we went???
We haven't been here since before The Boy was born! It was super-fun. And yum-o.
